Is it possible there may be a link between new family pet arrivals and becoming pregnant soon after?
After trying for years to get pregnant My friend was told she would never conceive. Then 6 months after getting a kitten she conceived. I am wondering if neurologically she went into ” nurture mode” and it somehow helped her conceive. Has anyone else ever got pregnant shortly after the arrival of a new family pet?
My husband and I tried to conceive for 1.5 years. Within one month of adopting our beautiful puppy, I became pregnant. While I’m not aware of any scientific link, my stress level certainly decreased upon our puppy’s arrival. Watching him play with his boundless energy and focusing my attention on that little guy versus the myriad of life’s other unwanted distractions seemed to be just what I needed. Sadly, I miscarried just before the end of my first trimester. Our puppy came into our lives, minimized my stress and did help me become pregnant. He’s now comforting us during our saddest time.
